Summary
Born to a cold-blooded villain and a dragon, Jaina was an anomaly, an ‘impure existence’ with no place in the world. Abandoned by her dragon kin at ten and left to the mercy of the magic tower, her only hope was a father who never acknowledged her. Jaina sought out Diarmuid, the final boss of a fantasy novel, not for recognition, but to quietly live out her days, cherishing the simple comforts denied to her in a past life. She expected a life of solitude, a peaceful end. But fate, it seems, has other plans. The father who once treated her with utter indifference is now consumed by an unsettling obsession. “Father, please, just leave me be, like you always did.” Can Jaina escape this newfound, terrifying attention and find the peace she craves?
