Summary
In the original novel, the notorious villainess, Illyana, was a master of manipulation. She took a beautiful, powerful man and meticulously broke him, transforming him into her personal ‘beast’ – utterly devoted, utterly dependent, and utterly trapped. His fate was sealed: once freed by the true heroine, he would rise to become emperor and condemn Illyana to an eternity of torment.
